The Latest Additions

Have just been informed the Central Coast's third news/talk station to launch it's website has just done it: kyns1340.com, and we've added it to the list in the right hand column.

Also added in the last few days are the two University newspaper websites, the Cal Poly Mustang and the UC Santa Barbara Daily Nexus.

But you probably first saw our new local weather on the page, provided by weatherroom.com, and we thank them for making it easy to display. Would this constitute "talking about the weather," and actually doing something about it?

Welcome To Our New Webspace!

The time is now and this is the place for area residents to sound off! We have grown in the last week and are adding writers every day, it seems.

Click on the links in this or the next column and you'll see how our blog covers the voices of the Central Coast. Read the ascerbic wit of Los Osos writer, Ann Calhoun. We've posted her last four columns, which are first printed in the Los Osos Bay News. Be ready to catch "Calhoun's Can(n)ons" and anything else she wants to post.

Your technical facilitator of this blogging team is also known as "Newsstand Greg." He's lived in Los Osos, San Luis Obispo and is a California native, born in Santa Monica. Greg certainly has a central coast background and his first post starts with some important stuff and goes from there.

"The Inside Morro Bay Team" is also preparing to detail the latest on Duke Energy, the Morro Bay city council and what those three smokestacks really mean to grade school kids. Insiders always have a ringside seat.

"Cranky Anne's" last righteous fit of indignation occurred on Friday's (6/17) Dave Congalton talk show, KVEC AM 920. Anne was critical of people such as Barbara Walters for their attitudes about mothers' breast-feeding in public. Anne Lorenzen has plenty of other issues to be "Cranky" about and has begun to let us all know sooner rather than later.

Which is a good thing. We haven't had this much fun in a long time, like, since the Internet was "free!"

Please leave a comment and thanks for taking a look. Come back soon because we have just begun to grow.
